The True Love of Beer: He Tried to Trade Alligator for a Pack of Beer

Police have captured a man who tried to get a pack of beer for stolen alligator.

He wanted just a pack of beer, but the owner of a Miami convenience store turned out to be a prick. He called the police. How could he do it to a fellow beer-drinker?

Here is what NBC has reported: “Fernando Caignet Aguilera was cited after he tried to trade the gator for beer at the Santa Ana Market at 3000 Northwest 12th Avenue back on Dec. 10, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Jorge Pino said.”

That guy said that in all his 25 years in law enforcement he has never seen anything like that. This surprises me. I constantly see alligators traded for all kinds of shit. Yesterday, for example, I saw a man who tried to trade alligator for a Big Mac. The cashier at McDonald’s responded: “Wait a second, I’ll ask the manager how many Big Macs you can get for him.”

This story has a happy ending, however. The alligator was released back into the wild. So instead of being traded for a pack of beer, he can actually drink some beer by eating the drunk tourists.
